Yappy Hour – Siips expands their Yappy Hours to Yappy Days – Simply bring your dog to Siips outdoor patio seating and they receive treats from the Dog and Horse Lovers Boutique, water from their personal Siips water bowl and the CASPCA receives a 5% donation based on your total expenditure. Great times await all at Siips - Charlottesville’s Dog Friendly establishment.

 

“Friend of the SPCA” Program

Let Siips know that you are a Friend of the SPCA, and when you:

  • Purchase wine at Siips retail shop; or
  • Enjoy a weekday lunch at Siips

Siips will donate 5% of the profits to the SPCA. So eat, drink and be merry, and raise money for the homeless animals in our community.

Community Involvement

Siips and their owners George and Patty Benford love to support our local charities. Starting Thursday April 8 and most every Thursday Siips presents Celebrity Host Bartenders , a series of non-profit organizations will pour wines, beer and champagnes while entertaining customers. Siips will supply complimentary appetizers and 10% of the sales will go to the local charity. Mayor Dave Norris, Susanne Kogut and Building Goodness Foundation have already committed to the program.

Opera, Theater and Burlesque are also coming to Siips this year. April 11th opens our dinner theater program with the acclaimed Nixon’s Nixon – 3 course meal and show for only $39.00.

May 8th Siips will host its fourth Burlesque Cabaret Event – Join Erica Shergold and her guest along with special musical talents for an evening of entertainment. $15 cover

May 16th Siips will present an Opera Dinner with feature pieces from Mozart and a 3 course Austrian dinner - $34 per person. Mr. Benford was appointed by the City Council and the Albemarle Board of Supervisors to serve a two year term on the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention and Visitors Bureau. Mr. Benford also has recieved recognition as the Downtown Business Association of Charlottesville 2008-2009 Service Award for his contributions to the city of Charlottesville and the Downtown Mall.

Siips is proud to announce that Sage Moon Gallery the premier art galley of Charlottesville will now be housed at Siips Wine and Champagne Bar. The walls have never looked better and the art will change monthly. Morgan and Jim Perkins will be available at Siips every weekend and on call throughout the week. The art includes such recognized artist as Sarah Rogers (watercolors) and Sarah Parks (variety). Come by and view the exquisite art.

In November, George Benford, owner of Siips was appointed by the Charlottesville City Council to serve on the newly created Citizens Police Advisory Panel. The focus of the panel as to act as a liason between the Charlottesville Police Department and the Charlottesville Community.

George Benford was recently elected to the Regional Board of the Girl Scouts of America. “I am delighted to work with a great organization which is dedicated to providing the opportunity for leadership to so many young girls”.
