Complex aromas and flavors of white peach, citrus blossom, Asian pear and candied lemon give way to a rich and weighty mid-palate, followed by a very long, exotic spice infused finish.

Shiraz – Boarding Pass 2005 – Australia Bottle - $29.00
This 2005 Shiraz was aged in French and American oak for 12 months. It’s purple-color is very expressive, with a nose of smoke, spice box, blackberry, and blueberry jam. Layered, supple-textures, sweet, and full-bodied, this seamless, crowd-pleasing wine offers a remarkably long finish for its humble price. The Boarding Pass label is just that, a dead ringer for an airplane boarding pass. According to Dan Philips, it is like going on a trip to Australia without leaving home while the First Class is a luxury upgrade. 92 points Parker.
Shiraz – Thelema 2001 – South Africa Bottle - $38.00
Rich and robust, this exuberant charmer shows ripe black fruit and spice, with a lovely toasty finish.
Syrah – Miner Napa Valley 2004 – California Bottle - $47.00
Displaying aromas of dried herbs, black cherry and pepper, this all mountain-grown Syrah is supple and polished all the way through. Layer upon layer of blackberry fruit and enticing spices with smoky-earthy hints enliven the palate. Packing plenty of rich tannins, this wine has just the right amount of boldness.
Jumilla – Finca Luzon Altos de Luzon 2005 – Spain Bottle - $28.00
The seriously endowed Altos de Luzon is a blend of 50% old vine Mourvedre (52 years) and equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo, aged 12 months in a combination of French and American oak. A dense eggplant color is followed by beautiful aromas of smoky licorice, black currants, cherries, and earth. Offering wonderful ripeness, an alluring texture, sweet tannin, and adequate acidity, it certainly over-delivers for its price.
Zinfandel – Hartford CT RR 2005 – California Bottle - $39.00
Boysenberry, anise and East Asian spice aromas transition into ripe black raspberry and mulberry flavors with a cinnamon stick finish. Well-integrated tannins juxtapose exceptional viscosity, gravelly notes and a very opulent texture.
Zinfandel – Terraces 2005 – California Bottle - $38.00
20th Anniversary Zinfandel Vintage. Deep ruby color with ripe berry, clove and savory meat aromas leads to a full mouthfeel with soft tannins and a long, fruit-filled finish. They aged the 740 case production of this wine in French and American oak for 18 months.

From a quaint vineyard at the very top of Calistoga, situated between the Clos Pegase and Cuvaison wineries, comes this beautiful Bordeaux blend. This wine is soft and supple. This is an amazing find for a Californian wine.

The firm tannins are very well integrated, making this wine elegant and approachable at an early age. There are multiple layers to this complex blend that reveal themselves through decanting or by giving the wine time to open up in the glass. 92 pts Wine Enthusiast.

This wine’s inky, deep, ruby color promises intensity and depth. This is an amazing proprietary blend driven by Merlot, with elements of Reserve Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Dark, rich garnet color with an intense aroma of plum, cassis, coffee and berries are woven together in barrel to produce a phenomenally full and silky flavor on the palate. Tannins are resplendent and graceful. This is truly the hallmark of Virginia red wine.

A fairly deep color to this super-Tuscan, tasted in its youth. From the outset the nose has plenty of bramble and berry fruit, together with smoky, tarry notes suggestive of depth and extract. Rich and velvety on the palate, although only medium-full bodied, and cut through with good acidity which is immediately apparent on entry. Plentiful dark fruits, good extract as the nose suggested, and ripe, supple but firm tannins. Strong finish, with a sweet, tannic edge, and a note of elegance.
